Project “AI Genesis with the mechanisms of cellular automata and fractal construction processes”

Thesis: The human being with his brain and, as a result, his personality as a whole is formed from the pure hardware of the neuronal structure and its interconnection, as well as from the information pattern constantly flowing within it. Skills can be increasingly supported and consolidated through optimized wiring within the neuronal structure. However, the decisive part, also for the formation of this neuronal structure and its circuitry, consists of the information pattern flowing within it, which develops over a lifetime analogous to a cellular automaton with fractal elements and continues to develop in the presence of internal (e.g. dreaming, thinking, developing wishes) and external stimuli. Skills can initially be created within this information pattern and, through constant use or reinforcing training mechanisms, may be transferred to the optimization of the neuronal structure and thus receive qualitative and quantitative support. Even a brief interruption of the basic vital functions of the brain can partially or completely erase this information pattern - the personality with its memories and characteristics as well as the components for higher functions, which are not only mapped in the neuronal structure, is lost. A transfer of the human mind with all its aspects into an artificial AI environment cannot be successful as long as this information pattern is not also part of the AI environment. The associative, massively parallel character of various abilities and the appearance of the ego can only be mapped via the comprehensive, simultaneously acting basic principle of the described interaction between neuronal structure, its interconnection and the constantly flowing information pattern within it. The emergence and development via principles of cellular automata and fractal construction processes requires a training period in which external stimuli and internal motivators bring about these structures in hardware and the information pattern - for humans, compelling periods of years and decades in which these external influences and interactions as well as the internal processes run like with cellular automata. The emergence of a conscious “I” is linked to these elements and their interaction as an emergent consequence.

Project “AI - Intention Based Computing”

Thesis: The next stage of AI will not be able to find its success in the direct replication of a human and their abilities and the “I”. The preliminary work required for this is not yet manageable and is described in the project “AI Genesis with the mechanisms of cellular automata and fractal construction processes”. Rather, the next tangible stage, which is important for practically relevant applications, lies in optimizing the collaboration between humans and AI by identifying the intentions, wishes and specific requirements more precisely via “intention-based computing” and supporting them in agent systems in the collaboration/tooling between humans and AI.
